The Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog Club® (ABBC) is a registered breed-exclusive non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, betterment and promotion of the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog. We are a group of breeders, owners and fanciers from different registries of the highly diversified Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog. With the deep rooted divide that plagued the breed for years, we have come together for the common good of the breed. This is indeed an unprecedented undertaking as we are an all inclusive club, where breeders and fanciers from any and all registries are welcome to openly discuss their ideas and visions for the breed. 

 

The Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog Club®, in keeping with its aims and objectives, has set a stringent Code of Ethics and ByLaws that all breeders and members are enjoined to adhere to.  These would serve as a guideline for current and future breeders. Through our continued and united effort, we want to ensure the survival and continuity of the breed by setting a high standard in breeding ethics by conscientiously breeding the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog for its betterment as the ultimate goal. 

 

Through rigorous testing and selective breeding of only healthy, sound and structurally correct specimens, the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog will continue to flourish for years to come. We highly encourage our breeders to health test their breeding stock. Information regarding health testing are contained in this website. We also require that DNA of breeding stock be profiled with the DDC in the US or AHT in the UK.

 

As part of our effort to promote the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog, we will be hosting sanctioned shows in the United States and abroad. We are certain that our shows will promote the breed in a positive light. Our shows are fun-filled events and a great opportunity for Alapaha owners and fanciers alike to compete their dogs with other Alapahas. They are open to Alapahas of all registries. Our shows are also great educational events for people who are doing their research or those who would like to know more about the breed. There is no better way to educate oneself than to see and experience Alapahas firsthand! These shows will also be a good avenue to develop camaraderie among the Alapaha owners, where ideas and vision can be shared. 

 

With the help of our dedicated team of highly professional trainers and decoys (check our Training page) who have years of in-depth knowledge and experience, the ABBCnew has also designed a Breed Suitability Test (BST) and Alapaha-specific working titles, offering opportunities to Alapaha breeders and fanciers which has never before existed. We hope that this will serve as an impetus for Alapaha owners to work their dogs in different working avenues. We wish to see Alapahas compete in different dog sports or canine working avenues in the future. We believe the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog will excel in whatever work it is tasked to do. This is our aim, to establish and further develop the Alapaha as a strong working breed.
